  • We’re proud to have received a $150,000 planning grant from the Barr Foundation to re-design our Stamford Academy Charter High School model. In re-imagining our school, we’ll look closely at mastery-based learning, flexible school hours, workforce development needs and integration, and multiple pathways to graduation and a meaningful high school diploma.   • Four female middle school students recently received certificates after graduating from a police mentoring program. See pics and the coverage from the Advocate here.

June 2015

  • Domus hosted US Senators Chris Murphy, Richard Blumenthal, and Cory Booker for a roundtable discussion on juvenile justice issues. Several Domus youth talked about their experiences in the system, and the senators discussed possible solutions being debated in Congress. News Channel 12 covered the event.
  • Our three schools’ graduations were covered by the New Haven Independent and the Stamford Advocate(Trailblazers here and Stamford Academy here).
