While we don’t have much in the way of lab equipment or facilities compared to many schools, our creative Stamford Academy teachers still manage to give our kids lab experiences. This time, it’s frog dissection. Ms. Paradise’s class bravely undertook this project and was very engaged in learning about frog biology. Please forgive our blurry camera.
UConn Stamford’s Gen Re Auditorium was the graduation setting for the first fully matriculating class of Stamford Academy. Thirty-four graduates, at least seven of whom will be attending college this fall, received their high school diplomas amid the tears and cheers of loved ones. Mayor Dan Malloy congratulated the graduates on their hard work and perseverance, noting that many had struggled but all had maintained their focus and made it to this day. The standing-room only crowd handed out dozens of hugs after the ceremony, and it wouldn’t be Domus if there wasn’t lots of food. We are proud of our graduates’ hard work and their persistence even when things got tough. Congratulations!
