The Sting: A Spelling Bee for Grown-Ups, to benefit Domus, was held on March 11, 2010.
Many thanks to the hundreds of supporters who joined us May 8, 2010! We exceeded our fundraising goal and had a great time.
Many thanks to our sponsors: GE Capital, Building and Land Technology, Pitney Bowes, Vitech Systems Group Inc., Malkin Properties and Malkin Construction, and WWE. A special thanks to Nagi and Liz Osta of NAGI Jewelers who sponsored our Diamond Mine: 74 pair of beautiful cubic zirconia stud earrings, one pair of real diamond earrings worth $10,000, and one very happy winner who picked those diamonds at random.
The Jewel in the Rough Gala was held on May 8, 2010
The June 14th Links for Life outing at Milford’s Great River Golf Club was a huge success!
Many thanks to the Carter family for including us—we met lots of great people who generously supported the day, which translates into better outcomes for our kids.
Country Club of Fairfield Outing
Tuesday, October 12, 2010
Lunch ▪ Golf ▪ Dinner ▪ Auctions ▪ Prizes
Our first-ever event at the Country Club of Fairfield was superb! The weather was perfect, food excellent, and the crowd generous. We look forward to many more years at this Sound-side piece of heaven—a top-notch course indeed.
The GE Tax Team’s 11th annual Domus Diner Day was again a smash hit! Forty GE tax professionals served up yummy grub like apple & brie omelets, homemade donuts, and serious salads—these guys know the Parkway Diner menu as well as they know international tax law! Many thanks to diner owner Lushe Gjuraj for giving up her diner again, to Domus Board Member and Diner Day Founder Rick D’Avino, to the über-organized and super-nice Marianne Keegan, and all our friends (old and new!) on the Tax Team who traded their Excel spreadsheets for aprons—and thanks to all the donors who left amazing tips! … Did we mention there were donuts?!
The Sting: A Spelling Bee for Grown-Ups
Our 2nd annual spelling bee was a blast!
Despite very stiff competition from a host of wicked smart teams, UConn
two-peated…lots of pressure for 2012!
Many thanks to our teams!

Country Club of Fairfield Golf Outing: October 11, 2011
Our fall 2011 outing got switched from the County Club of Fairfield, thanks to course damage from Hurricane Irene, but Woodway Country Club was able to accommodate us, and everyone had a great time. Special thanks to our sponsors: Braun/P&G, and WTP Advisors. More photos here.

Diner Day 2011 was, as usual, impeccably organized and a huge success. The diner was full of smiles from our talented GE Tax Team friends—patrons were as happy to get their custom GE/Domus/Parkway Diner travel mugs (a tradition we all look forward to) as they were the delectable treats the kitchen turned out. We are very, very grateful to the Tax Team, the members of whom take a day away from their normal work to wait and bus tables and keep customer mugs full of coffee.
Rick D’Avino: We can’t thank you enough for keeping the kids of Domus foremost in your mind and heart and pushing everyone else to do so too.
Marianne Keegan: We now take for granted your amazing organizational skills and ability to get a million mission-critical things done despite flying around the world.
Professional photographer Constanza Revelo donated her time to capture the many fun and funny moments of the day. Check out this photo gallery with her beautiful snaps plus a few from our camera.
