At the Lion's Den, children can develop skills that allow them to be better people and students. Our staff works with each student and family to address the individual barriers to success in order to help accelerate his/her achievement. We do this through counseling, group activities, assisting in developing new skills, and working on literacy with each student. Our goal is to move each student further along academically than they would have performed by just attending school and to work on literacy with each student utilizing the nationally recognized literacy program KidzLit.
The Lion's Den

The mission of the Lion’s Den is to provide a safe and structured environment where students can learn and challenge themselves socially, emotionally, and academically. We believe that all students should have access to an after-school program.

In general, students who attend the Lion’s Den attend Trailblazers Academy during the school day. These students have been unsuccessful at traditional public schools. Many of the students struggled academically; others struggled behaviorally. Participation in the after-school program is a privilege. A student may participate only if they have attended all of the day’s classes and his/her behavior warrants participation.

The Domus kids that participated in the Sparks Program this past July got the oppurtunity to visit the White House.
