1. Charters renewed, plus graduation
The State Board of Education voted to renew the charters
of both Stamford and Trailblazers Academies for three years. We're
excited to be given the opportunity again to help kids reach their
potential. Come witness one transition on the way to meeting that goal:
Trailblazers Academy's 8th grade graduation: June 23rd at 9:30am at
Wright Tech.
2.
Sea Glass Gala exceeds expectations
Our fantastic committee, led by formidably organized Gigi
Williams, made sure our sold-out crowd of 300+ guests had a great time
while raising over
$400,000 for our kids and families. We're indebted to the
committee, our sponsors, our board, and everyone who made the event a
huge success.
3.
Literacy gains turning heads
You arrive at Trailblazers Academy in 6th grade reading at
a 3rd grade level. Fast forward to today: You're about to graduate and
transition to high school, and you now read at an 11th/12th grade level!
That's the story of two of our graduates, thanks to their hard work and
the work of our team of literacy specialists and other school staff.
Imagine if someone had looked at how far behind they were and given up
instead of committing to helping them make a successful transition to
high school...
