1.
Over 2,000
gifts!

Your generosity
this year exceeded 2006's holiday season-- a feat we thought impossible! With your
help, over 2,000 gifts were given to kids and family members
who would have had nothing. Our angel families were grateful
to the point of tears; said one mother:
"You made everyone's day. There were so many
needed things in those packages, I almost
fainted!"
Thank you for all you did
to make December a less stressful month for our moms and dads
and a time of pure delight for our kids. Without
you, it's simply impossible.
2. SAVE THE DATE! Southern
Soiree Join us May 10,
2008, for our annual spring fundraiser. This year
it's a Southern Soiree, complete with a Dixieland band, at the
Greenwich Country Club. Don't miss it!
3. Harvard
University education
project Trailblazers and
Stamford
Academies will be working this spring with
Harvard
University professor Ron Ferguson’s Tripod Project for
School Improvement. Tripod staff will work with students and
school staff around a variety of key indicators to produce
action plans leading to improved student
engagement and achievement. This national
project helps address achievement gaps among students from
different racial, ethnic, and social class backgrounds, and
we’re excited to work with this esteemed group of educators
and researchers to improve our results. Our students deserve
no less. |
